Youth Pathways is an exciting program for young people aged 18 and over, which offers learning and development workshops, volunteer and mentoring opportunities, and the chance to get involved in the co-design of Satellite resources.

Previous workshops have included a Wellness Workshop, where participants learned how to ‘Zen Your Bedroom’ and about art for mindfulness; a Work and Year-Ready Workshop which offered help in navigating these choices and making the best of wherever you land, and Facilitating Care which explored leadership, mentoring and facilitation.

22 November: Nothing About You, Without You
6:30 – 8:30 via Zoom

What is ‘lived experience’ and what does it mean to you? This workshop honours and empowers the diverse voices of young people in the Satellite space and beyond, exploring ways of holding space for yourself and others, in a safe and supportive way.

Join us to share journeys, learn about the importance of healthy boundaries, discover your natural inner strength and connect with others who may share similar experience of living with, working alongside and/or caring for someone in your family with mental health challenges.

7 February 2021: Re-emerging: How to Set Gentle Intentions
6:30 – 8:00pm via Zoom

The start of a year can be a great time for both reflection and forward thinking, particularly if you’re starting uni or a new job, or just after just being in lockdown for the last two years! However, the tradition of creating resolutions can mean we feel pressure to succeed in something before we have even begun the journey.

This workshop explores the practice of setting intentions, so you can approach your goals, dreams or ideas with more compassion for yourself.

Our workshops aim to:

• offer young people a chance to use creative practice to explore how they see the world.
• provide opportunities for young people with shared experiences to connect with one another.
• develop inclusive communication opportunities where visual language is as important as the spoken word.
• provide a transportable and accessible program that can be delivered throughout diverse communities.
• give young people the opportunity to develop confidence in using technology to tell stories, create art and share their stories.
