The Interim Report of the Royal Commission into Aged Care was handed to the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia on 31 October 2019, and tabled in Parliament that day. Here is a link to the Interim Report. The Prime Minister released a statement in response to the Interim Report. The statement lists key priorities including; Increasing the number of Home Care packages; Better medication management and dementia training; Younger people in residential aged care; Building on longer term reforms and simplifying the system for consumers.

Three commandments for reducing holiday stress

  1. Thou shalt not be perfect or even try
  2. Thou shalt leave undone things that ought to be done
  3. Thou shalt make time for thyself

$1 Hoyts movies for carers

The Hoyts Carers Offer gives an adult movie ticket for the price of one dollar (maximum of one ticket per day) to carer members of Carers Victoria.
To receive a $1 Hoyts Cinema ticket carers must:
•         Be a current carer
•         Present their Carers Victoria membership card when purchasing their ticket
•         Be accompanied by the person they care for (that person will still need to buy their ticket)
