 Our guest speaker Brian Barrow will speak on

Mental Health, Addiction & the Law

Brian Barrow recently retired from the position of Deputy Chief Magistrate and has also been Acting Chief Magistrate in the Victorian Magistrate’s Court. He was a Registrar of the Court for 25 years before his appointment as a Magistrate in 1985. He is now an Acting Magistrate and continues to pursue his interest in law reform.

Brian has a particular interest in mental health and addiction and was heavily involved in introducing ‘Problem Solving Courts’ serving on the first Drug Court established at Dandenong.

We may also have someone from the St Kilda branch of Victoria Police – yet to be confirmed.
