Carers Week 2015 – Alfred Health Carer Services

National Carers Week is about recognising and celebrating the outstanding contribution unpaid carers make to our nation.  It will be celebrated Australia-wide from 11-17 October.  Come and join us! Carers in Melbourne’s south and southeast are invited to join us for morning tea and a light lunch at either the Peninsula Kingswood Country Golf Club in Frankston or The International, Bay Street, Brighton.  Bookings essential and places are limited.  See full details here.

Caring for yourself – A workshop for carers on 7 October from 2.00 – 4.00 p.m.
Jewish Care has teamed up with Carers Victoria to offer this free workshop for carers in honour of Mental Health Week. In this 2-hour workshop, you will explore why your health and wellbeing are important, and discuss and share strategies to help you look after yourself. A light afternoon tea will be provided. Places are limited, so please remember to RSVP to ensure you don’t miss out.

Carers Day(s) on the Peninsula

Carers Day acknowledges the thousands of carers on the Mornington Peninsula who look after people with disabilities, people who are frail aged, people with mental illness and people who are unwell. It is a small way of saying thank you and giving carers an opportunity to enjoy some quality “me time”. Enjoy a guided tour of the Salon des Refuses exhibition at the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery with morning or afternoon tea provided. For more details please call Ph: 5950 1685.

Inner South Family and Friends Film Afternoon Sunday 18 October 2015
