ISFAF MONTHLY MEETING 7pm for 7.30pm TUESDAY 10 JUNE 2025

TOPIC: The Benefits and Availability of Family Therapy.
All Carers, family and friends of individuals are welcome to attend. A light supper provided by our committee is served from 7.05 pm, enabling mingling among individuals sharing similar challenging journeys. ISFAF monthly meetings are free. No need to book. However, a small contribution is always extremely welcome.
VENUE: Level 1, 607 St Kilda Road, Melbourne – a little to the St Kilda side of Wesley College. Lots of free parking in the centre lanes off St Kilda Road, with many trams stopping at the door. If you are having trouble with transport, seek further information or just need a chat, about ISFAF, the ‘mental health world’ and/or issues you are facing please phone Judi on 0425 723 746 or Eleni on 0412 018 722. Please come early to chat and to enjoy delicious snacks which will be available from 7.05 pm. For security, we are required to pay a concierge at the door of the building. Latecomers may not be able to enter.

Family members, including canines are very welcome. Walkers / non-walkers generally meet at about 1pm. Drinks are provided by Inner South Family and Friends

RESPITE AND WORKSHOPS: UNDERSTANDING ADDICTIONS

The weekend is strongly targeted at workshops for carers of individuals with addictions. Additionally, we will enjoy heavily subsidised meals at local eateries, share good times among individuals who share and understand our challenges as mental health carers while we will stay on the shore of lovely Lake Weeroona.
Please note that we have already exceeded our booked limit for accommodation and may have to place some booked individuals onto a waiting list. Nevertheless you are still welcome to pay a deposit to go onto the waiting list. If we cannot accommodate you, the deposit will be returned. Deposits must be received by 5 pm Friday 23 May, 2025.

During the weekend, we will be joined by carers from other groups, including the Bendigo Connect Centre (SHARC)

Frida Khalo Exhibition: Pensioners: $10 Non-pensioners: $20
Frida Khalo exhibition can be enjoyed as a separate event and is a separate cost.
For previous respites we have booked an entire complex. This provided some flexibility with numbers. However, with the Frida Khalo exhibition being in Bendigo, there is no opportunity for last minute changes. All rooms must be booked and paid for ahead of time.
We will try to provide single rooms, but cannot guarantee to do so unless we receive your payment for single supplement ($60).
Transport is not included. There is a train to Bendigo and regular bus service and tram within Bendigo.
To Book: non-refundable deposits are required by 5pm Friday 23 May 2025 or if possible, please pay in full by 23 May
For ‘The weekend’: Pensioners: $25 Non-pensioners: $50
For Frida Khalo: Pensioners: $10 Non-pensioners: $20 (this is a highly subsidised charge for the Khalo exhibition)

- If you are not prepared to share a room please pay an additional $60 single supplement at time of deposit. This may be refunded if there are sufficient single rooms for all, but will not be refunded otherwise. Please ensure that your deposit shows your name and names of any others in your booking.

- In your email, please advise whether you plan to travel by train or drive, and if you plan to drive, would you be happy to take passengers, and if so, how many. Each passenger must contribute to fuel costs..? $15 pp.

- Full payment, ie an additional $20 for pensioners and $40 for non-pensioners needs to be received by 5pm Friday 6 June.
