Mental Health Foundation of Australia (MHFA) – Peer Support Groups…looking for a Facilitator
MHFA offers a number of Peer Support Groups including OCD Support Group; Mood Disorder Support Group; Domestic Violence Support Group and a Grief Support Group. See their list of Peer Support Groups here. MHFA is seeking the services of a support group facilitator to coordinate a “Bipolar Carers Support Group”, a 90 minute session – one evening a month. Some negotiation as to the day the group will run may be possible and also that there may be some remuneration available for this position. NDIA have released Mental Health Access Snapshots
The snapshots provide specific, detailed information to people with psychosocial disability, their supporters, and service providers. They aim to assist people to understand the requirements of the NDIS access process in relation to psychosocial disability, and demystify the access process. The snapshots are as follows:

  2. Impairment and mental health in the NDIS
  3. Recovery and the NDIS
  4. Functional capacity and mental health issues
  5. NDIS and other services supporting your mental health
