Associate Professor Felice Jacka from Deakin University will speak about her work into the link between mental health in children, adolescents and adults, and lifestyle, including nutrition, exercise and smoking. Associate Professor Jacka is internationally recognised as a pioneering researcher in this area, and her program of research focuses on lifestyle behaviours as risk factors for depression and anxiety.

Mark Jackson is a community educator and trainer with MI Fellowship and a consultant health coach. He will share his experiences of managing his own physical health and mental well-being.

The event will also feature a presentation by Eve Telianidis, who is a working mother and carer of a person with experience of mental illness. Eve maintains that in order to look after her loved ones she has to look after herself first. She will be sharing key aspects of her life journey to inspire and guide others, and support better mental health awareness.

MI Fellowship is partnering with the Rotary Club of Preston and Australian Rotary Health to deliver this free community mental health forum in Melbourne. The forum is open to all.
