Serious Fun is a program specifically designed for primary aged children who have been bereaved by suicide. The program combines art and craft with a range of fun activities making it “a little bit Serious and a whole lot of Fun”. While the children are occupied, parents have the opportunity to have a coffee and a chat in a separate room. The program will help children by:
Reducing isolation
Allowing them to share their story
Enabling expression of emotions
Developing creative expression
Meeting other children bereaved by suicide
The theme for the January program is, “Getting to know the person who died”.
The first Serious Fun program for 2016 is scheduled for next Wednesday 20 January from 10am to 1pm at Clifton Hall, behind Gallery 314, at 314 Church St, Richmond 3121
