MI Fellowship Mental Health Week (from MI Voice update October 2014)

Felicity’s Mental Mission

Back in April comedian Felicity Ward came on our Brainwaves radio show to film part of her upcoming documentary, called Felicity’s Mental Mission, to be screened during Mental Health Week. We’re not sure if we’ll be in the final cut, but make sure you don’t miss the show on ABC2 at 8.30pm on Monday, 6 October. Felicity discusses her own mental illness and interviews a range of celebrities, while promoting Mental Health Australia’s ‘Mental health begins with Me!’ campaign.

MI Fellowship has released a Call to Action for the November state election. The key issues highlight support for specialist community mental health services in Victoria so that people do not fall through the cracks during the transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).  You can read the Call to Action online and sign the petition calling on all political parties to make mental health a priority.  See www.mifellowship.org/news/call-action-victorian-election-released
